The mosque of Ibn Tulun was really beautiful, as was Saint Simon cave church, garbage city, city of the dead and then of course some shopping time at khan el-khalili.
The transport was also really great a/c transport, which was very welcome in the Cairo heat. Would recommend this 5 star experience to every one looking for something different than the usual tourist spots.

  The day was great until our final stop where we were escorted into a well known scam which is a high pressure sales situation where they are absolutely ruthless. perfume… read more well know scam shop with a 2.5 review. We were also taken to another shop which had a 3.5 star review for being high-pressure. Both shops have been known to steal credit cards. They drop you off in the hands of a high.pressure sales person. DO NOT GO INTO ANY PLACES WHICH SELL YOU THINGS on this tour. You are being setup. Very disappointed in this company and it ruined our trip. I didn’t take home any of the products I was sold because I was disgusted.

Following a recommendation of a trusted fried, we hired… read more an extremely experienced Egyptologist / Guide, Mr. Sameh “Sam” Makram, who is employed by “Egypt Eye Tour” who was also occasionally assisted by his right hand Guide Bisho Sabit. Sam was very easy to communicate with via Whats APP because he is extremely reliable, punctual, considerate of time zones and his English language is better than mine. What a true pleasure to be escorted VIP style by Sam, who has ample knowledge of customs and true love for his land and his people. He did everything for us. He created our tour program, bought the tickets and escorted us around Giza Great Pyramids, Saqqara Pyramid of Djoser, Egypt Museum & every other place we wanted. He was courteous, funny and extremely knowledgeable of history, archeology and paleontology. He answered all of our questions and sometimes drove around a couple of times through areas I really wanted to see. He took photos of us and recommended best restaurants and shops. “Egypt Eye Tour” company is absolutely lucky to have such high quality employees.
