Following a recommendation of a trusted fried, we hired… read more an extremely experienced Egyptologist / Guide, Mr. Sameh “Sam” Makram, who is employed by “Egypt Eye Tour” who was also occasionally assisted by his right hand Guide Bisho Sabit. Sam was very easy to communicate with via Whats APP because he is extremely reliable, punctual, considerate of time zones and his English language is better than mine. What a true pleasure to be escorted VIP style by Sam, who has ample knowledge of customs and true love for his land and his people. He did everything for us. He created our tour program, bought the tickets and escorted us around Giza Great Pyramids, Saqqara Pyramid of Djoser, Egypt Museum & every other place we wanted. He was courteous, funny and extremely knowledgeable of history, archeology and paleontology. He answered all of our questions and sometimes drove around a couple of times through areas I really wanted to see. He took photos of us and recommended best restaurants and shops. “Egypt Eye Tour” company is absolutely lucky to have such high quality employees. The mosque of Ibn Tulun was really beautiful, as was Saint Simon cave church, garbage city, city of the dead and then of course some shopping time at khan el-khalili.
The transport was also really great a/c transport, which was very welcome in the Cairo heat. Would recommend this 5 star experience to every one looking for something different than the usual tourist spots.

He is very knowledgeable funny, and interactive to the plethora of questions we had.… read more He managed our time well and kept our well-being intact. My wife is pregnant so he took that very carefully into consideration when we were out touring. He managed our time and coordinated food, rest, and snack breaks accordingly to our personal needs. Would absolutely recommend him again for anyone touring Egypt. Without a doubt this trip was made much better because of him, his connections, and perspectives.
